Shareholders and Employees, On behalf of Doha Insurance Group, I would like to welcome you to our new website, launched in line with the recent rebranding of the group. With the rebrand, Doha Insurance Group is undergoing a new look and feel that reflects our continuous efforts to set new standards for innovation in everything we do. I would like to thank each one of you for your continuous dedication and support in embracing our pioneering spirit, and contributing to the welfare of our community. Since its inception, Doha Insurance Group has been steadfast in its commitment to meeting the comprehensive insurance needs of our customers. Today I am humbled and honored to continue in my role as President of the Group and to remain leading the market with our teams as one of the foremost solution based insurance companies in Qatar. As a local company with a long and proud heritage, we aim to help educate our customers on the positive benefits of insuring both their personal and professional lives, whilst heavily investing in systems to provide them with unparalleled service standards, and motivate them to live life to the fullest. Being pioneers in Qatar, we have accomplished great achievements including uplifting the group’s financials to be recognized by international financial firms for rating services such as Standard & Poor’s and A.M. Best, with a rating of BBB+ in 2012 and 2013; receiving the rating of A- (Excellent) by A.M. Best for financial strength in 2016; expanding into new markets and business sectors, such as reinsurance operations through establishing the Mena Reinsurance arm in 2015; and strategically restructuring and recruiting top executive team members to pursue and implement the group’s strategic goals in early 2017. As we look forward to the future, we know that our continued success rests squarely upon our ability to deliver premium services and solutions in the manner that has made the Doha Insurance Group a leader today, and our aptitude to demonstrate genuine concern for our clients and, above all, to serve them with integrity. We will also be focused on implementing the group’s expansion strategy across the Mena region on short and medium terms, with an eye on expanding internationally into the European market. It is with great pride that I reflect on the astounding milestones that Doha Insurance Group has been constantly achieving since its inception in 1999, thanks to the great vision of our leaders in the State of Qatar, that have established sound pillars for a strong national economy across all sectors. Thanks to the efforts of our Board of Directors and the strategic plans that we have developed, the Group’s team has accomplished many achievements to date and we are looking forward to many more milestones to come. As the CEO of Doha Insurance Group, I am extremely proud with what we have accomplished thus far, and even more excited about our outlook for an equally promising future. Throughout the years, DIG has served as a trusted insurance partner to businesses and individuals, constantly striving to deliver innovative and tailor-made solutions, with a vested interest in our consumers’ lifestyle, starting from personal and individual products to commercial and industrial requirements. Our mission, from the very beginning, is to provide discerning solutions that drive success for our clients, who have entrusted us to manage their exposure with various corporate and individual risks. We prefer to think of our clients as partners, and we will always strive to ensure our partners’ success and peace of mind. Success to our shareholders and partners is a correlating factor for the group. At DIG, we continuously venture to offer an exciting environment that values and rewards our clients and employees equally. As we are future focused, we resonate with our market’s need for a fast paced, high tech means of communication across all our operations, and therefore tailor make solutions to respond to those needs. Having led the insurance segment in Qatar for many years, we have achieved a number of milestones including; a full collaboration with Qatar Central Bank to apply governance guidelines and legal requirements, established a Risk Management and ERM unit as another layer of internal controls, fine-tuned and reviewed underwriting and reinsurance covers/guidelines and conducted a complete analysis based on micro-level performance of categories of risk. Our aim for the near future is to remain recognized as the most innovative, customer focused and pioneering insurance Group in the region and beyond. We aim to achieve this through increasing streams of income to the group by adding new profit centers, explore branch and distribution channel opportunities regionally and globally and invest in technology to enhance efficiency of our products and solutions offered to our valued clients & partners. Our Clients, who are always at the heart of our existence, will always be our priority. We will continue to improve our offering in the industry, innovating every step of the way, to ensure our operations are transparent, efficient and in line with the ever-evolving market needs.
